Effects of design and operating parameters on the performance of a quasi-realistic Diesel cycle engine

Although Diesel engines have begun to be abandoned in the automotive industry due emission legislations of world, they are still widely used generators, work machines, agricultural and heavy vehicles their high power density thermal efficiency. The classical cycle, which is thermodynamic cycle engines, was developed by taking into account irreversibilities, heat transfer losses, friction, gas exchange process, a quasi-realistic obtained. Also, working fluid has been accepted as an air-fuel-residual mixture instead air. This model very useful examine effect engines' design operating parameters on engine performance. For this study, variation equivalence ratio, stroke-bore compression ratio performance examined. Thermal efficiency, maximum temperature, exhaust fuel consumption, specific consumption parameters. characteristics conditions generator were for numerical study. Engine increased increasing parameter. When structural parameter, increased, but temperature also although it not desired. Therefore, necessary optimize temperature. Again, when decreased, decreased optimization two parameters, decrease while ratio. results obtained with study using created guiding designers.
